The West Jordan Courthouse opened in 2005 and is located at 8080 S Redwood Road. It is the second largest courthouse in the state of Utah - second only to the Scott M. Matheson Courthouse. The courthouse administers cases for the south end of the Salt Lake valley. It includes six Third District courtrooms, six Third District juvenile courtrooms, and offices for the District Attorney's office.

Protective Services provides court security and bailiff services at the courthouse since its opening. Our officers search hundreds of patrons daily by utilizing magnetometers, x-ray machines, physical searches, perimeter patrols, and common sense to ensure a safe working environment. Additionally, our officers maintain custody of tens of prisoners daily in the court's holding facility. Lastly, our bailiffs oversee numerous cases daily and provide a direct law enforcement presence inside the courtroom to deter any criminal activity.
