There are currently twenty-eight deputies, providing 24-hour coverage, who work in varying assignments and functions This includes three detectives, two Community Oriented Policing (COP) deputies who also cover investigations, and two motorcycle deputies. We maintain a sub-station at 7480 South 2700 East between the Cottonwood Heights Recreation Center, and Butler Middle School. We also share seven Sergeants with the Sheriff's Office Wasatch District.
Our COP deputies are your liason to the Sheriff's Office. The Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office offers a number of Community Services and Crime Prevention Programs to our citizens. CONTRACT SERVICES - COTTONWOOD HEIGHTS
The Salt Lake County Sheriff’s Office is proud to provide all of the police services for the newly formed city of Cottonwood Heights. The city currently has about thirty-six thousand residents. Our Cottonwood Heights team has the support and some shared personnel of the larger Wasatch District as well as the Sheriff's Office S.W.A.T. team, K-9, Search and Rescue and Major Accident Team.
Our partnership with the Cottonwood Heights leaders promotes ongoing communications to meet the specific needs of the businesses and residents within the city. The Sheriff’s Office has been providing service to this community for over 150 years, both as an unincorporated area and now as a City.
