Sheriff's Office Open House

The Sheriff's Office held an open house on Saturday, September 20th. The successful event featured the services the Sheriff's Office provides to the citizens of Salt Lake County. The highlight of the event was to let the public tour the Oxbow Jail that is currently under the process of being updated to go into operation. The reopening of the Obxow Jail is important to the Sheriff's Office mission of providing a safe community. The expanded capacity will help alleviate the overcrowding currently occurring at the Metro Jail. Those who attend got to see up close a K-9 demonstration, Search and Rescue equipment, SWAT Team gear, Jail operations and security, and various crime prevention booths.
